Susie's Scrumptious Sweets

Our cake was minimalistic yet elegant and thanks to Susie, the cake was delicious! We didn't even wait to freeze the top layer for our one year. We ate what was left after the honeymoon! They have tastings on saturday's with heaping portions so everyone can have an opinion. We had two different flavors, one was butter rum and the other was a champagne that was DELICIOUS! Even when the number of guests exceeded our initial estimate, they accommodated us without a fuss.

Susie and her husband Wilt are so friendly and we loved going to our tasting and having wilt there making jokes and making us feel like family. The cake was amazing and it was so delicious. We would highly reccomend Susie's scrumptious cakes to any bride. The cakes from susie's are to die for!!!

Suzy did a great job, our cake was scruptious and beautiful. We had an almond cake with amaretto chocoloate truffles and everyone loved it. Would be happy to recommend Suzy for any occasion!

We had Susie's make our wedding cakes and a groom's cake. The wedding cakes were one large cake on top and then 4 tiers of mini cakes on a stand in different flavors. The groom's cake looked like a Honda Element and it looked so amazing that my new husband didn't want to cut the cake...that was until he tasted it! Susie's cakes not only look amazing, but they taste even better! The flavors we chose were almond, decadence, coconut, carrot and chocolate chili. No one at our wedding could decide which flavor was the best one and I have to agree.Is it wrong that I wanna get married again just to have another one of her cakes? LOL

Susie's is great. Not only is there a tasting every saturday afternoon, but they will work with you to make sure the cake you want is the cake you get, plus their cakes are amazingly good. All of my friends use Susie's for their weddings, bridal and baby showers, and birthdays. I have already ordered my first anniversary cake and I will not go another birthday without a cake from her.

As part of our wedding package the wedding cake was included. At the hotel they don't actually make the cakes you get to chose from two vedors. Susie's was one of the vedors. From the moment we walked into the bakery you feel at home and welcomed. Any given Saturday afternoon you can stop by and have a free sampling of all the delicious flavors there are to taste, and let me tell you they are all delicious. We went with a simple marble flavor for all the layers to be safe, and as I was going through the many pictures I brought and the many photo albums Susie said "why don't you tell me what your thinking" so as I described my perfect wedding cake she started to draw it without photos and then said, "Oh there is one like you are thinking in this album here, and one in this other album here." The cake was delicious and as I had gone through the planning process thought I wanted fondant because of the look but, the way Susie does her cakes she can make buttercream look just as perfect and it tastes good, so who needs the yucky taste of fondant?

For my wedding cake, I went with Susie's Scrumptious Sweets in Sunrise. It ended up working out perfectly because she is the baker at The Westin Hotel where I had my reception. I am so pleased with the way my cake turned out. My husband and I didn't want a traditional wedding cake. We both had fallen in love with a Mad Hatter cake. We found a picture of it online, printed it out and took it to Susie. We asked her if she could do it and she said yes. Well let me tell you, when I walked into my reception room and saw my cake I had a smile on my face from ear to ear. It was perfect!! She had it looking EXACTLY the way the picture looked. Everyone was talking about the cake all night long. And of course it was delicious!! You can go on the weekends to her store in Sunrise and do a cake testing. They do it every weekend and you get to sample some of the best, most delicious cakes ever! Also, check out her website so you can see all of her work she has done in the past. She really is very talented and has made some amazing cakes. I am so glad I went with Susie's Scrumptious Sweets. I recommend them to everyone for any occasion!

Susie was very professional and easy to work with. I loved that we were able to sit at a cake bar and taste her yummy treats. We liked her so much, that she created our rehearsal dinner cake as well.

the only reason why i'm not giving susie's a perfect 5.0 is because i had asked for white philanopsis orchids on my cake, and instead got neon pink orchids. i'm not even sure what happened, how this got mixed up, but i contacted susie directly afterwards, and she apologized and offered to refund the delivery charge, which i thought was nice.that aside, the experience with them was great. the cake tasting was really fun, we got to try all the flavors we wanted, then we met with susie to finalize the details for the cake and delivery.both her and her husband were very nice and professional, and their cakes are the best tasting wedding cakes in south Florida as far as i;m concerned. their fondant is home made, and completely delicious. their prices are very affordable.Despite my mishap, i would definitely use susie's cakes again for upcoming events.

Susie's Scrumptious Sweets did a fabulous job on our wedding cake. It came out exactly how I pictured it and I absolutely loved it. Susie was extremely accomodating, helpful and patient with me, especially when I completely re-designed the cake for a second time. She and her family run a superb operation and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a gorgeous cake that tastes great!!!

Cake tasting was never this much fun! The place is clean nd beautiful, with Susie's husband running a "Cake bar" every Saturday afternoon where you can try all their amazing flavors. Dates fill up fast, and Susie's work is well-known. You think it up, they can make it into a cake-very talented.Our cake was AMAZING and we had numerous people say it was the best they'd ever had. But for a three-tiered cake for 100 people, we paid 750. And it was a fairly simple design. I don't know what cakes should cost, so perhaps this was reasonable. All I can say is that after tasting the cake, we knew we HAD to have ours from Susie's, no matter what.

The only reason they didn’t get an A+ is because her husband is a little rude and it took a while to get an actual bill from them when we changed the amount of people it had to feed. We were recommended Susie’s by a co-worker. They go there all the time for cakes and used them for their daughter’s wedding. They offer complimentary tastings every Saturday. Their “tasting” consists of Susie’s husband giving you a list of the cakes they offer and giving FULL slices of each one. They have all cakes baked and ready for you to try. They were telling other couples which ones were allowed if they were with certain venues. Since they don’t work with our venue, we were allowed to choose anything we wanted. We looked at the choices and chose 13 different cakes to try. They give you boxes to take all of the slices home with you. We ended up with a 4 tier square buttercream cake. The flavors were amazing. Dulche de leche, chocolate kahlua, almond and the top tier for us… chocolate chili. After your tasting you sit down with Susie and go over the cake options. They arrived on time to bring the cake to Gleneagles. They provided us with a box for our top tier as well. They tell you if you end up having to cut the top tier they will provide you a free one on your one year anniversary. We took ours home and cut into it with the family on Sunday. We can’t wait to get another one a year later, even if we have to pay. The cake was moist and delicious. We are still getting compliments on it. Yum!

The cake was good, a little on the dry side, everyone said they loved it. It was beautiful with my flowers decorated inbetween the layers. The cake was also included in my package at the reception.

Susie's was one of the approved vendors at my venue so I went to a cake tasting at there location. I love that they have a car bar set up so you can taste all the different flavors. We fell in love with the white chocolate and ordered it for our wedding. I orginally ordered one design, then called in to revise the design slightly. When the cake was delivered, they used the orginal design. It wasn't a huge issue but if you want something changed I would call a couple days before just to remind them to do it. Our guests raved about the quality and taste of the cake. It was a huge hit!

Susie's Scrumptious Sweets was one our 2 choices for our venue. We went with SSS because the cake was much better. We enjoyed the Saturday tastings that they offered. My only issue was that the initial cost we were given was different than the final one when we had 15 less people. Susie told us she didn't have a price written down, which she must have written on a different sheet but didn't put it on our order when we initially came in. No big deal, but it was annoying that we had to pay more. We also weren't told when the final payment was due and had to rush over in an hour so that we didn't get a basic flavor. Overall, the cake looked great, tasted great and was well received. My fiance wants to order cakes from them again even with the minor issues.

Excellent! Would highly recommend. Not only are the cakes absolutely beautiful, but they taste just as good as they look. Have used this vendor for two other functions also and have received numerous compliments from guests at each event. Additionally, Susie is very nice and receptive to input.

The cake tasting was a fun experience. Susie's quality and flavor surpassed all others. The only reason I didn't give all 5's was because our cake was included in our wedding package and I felt like I was inconveniecing Susie's by asking questions or requesting designs I was looking for. I was told the idea I had wouldn't work which I appreciated the honesty but there was no real option for the look of the cake. I had no idea what it would look like until the day of. The cake was amazing and beautiful so I had nothing to worry about after all.

Taste was great

Wedding cakes can be pricey, but these ones are so so good. Susie's has many delicious cakes and they can be made to look unique and beautiful. Different shapes , icing decorations and/ or flowers. Probably whatever you can imagine can be done. call and as when thier taste testing times are. my husband and i went and tried a bunch of cakes. all were lovely. go hungry so you wont get full before you finish tasting ;)

I was a little uncomfortable when I met with the staff. My mother-in-law actually thought they were rude. But I gae them my idea for the cake and they loved it, did not raise the price, and executed it perfectly. My cake was the most amazingly beautiful cake that I, or anyone at my wedding, ad ever seen! It also tasted INCREDIBLE. I was incredibly happy with the outcome!!
