Jimmy Cooper was outstanding!! He incorporated our play list and the guests' requests into a fantastic soundtrack. He was also extremely accomodating, switching tracks within seconds to fit the situation- there were several, as many characters attended the wedding! And best of all, no cheesy wedding music! He was so good that even the bride and groom that don't dance... danced.

We loved Jimmy! He played a great mix of music. In the middle of the reception I realized a song I should have requested and he downloaded it right there. He's also an all around great guy, letting my 2 year old nephew play with his equipment and even putting headphones on him!

I could not have been more pleased with their services! Sean was our DJ for the wedding and he kept everything running smooth and it was awesome. The price was right and he well exceeded our expectations. There was a wedding planner at our reception as a guest, and she didn't have enough good things to say about everything from the ceremony, reception, food, and music. Thank you again!

Sound wave did an excellent job with our wedding entertainment. From the beginning, my fiance and I had stressed the importance of music to our planner and she assured me that Sound Wave would be the best fit. There are a number of reasons I'm thrilled I chose them. I emailed Jim on the off chance he had a somewhat rare song that we wanted for our first dance...and he had it! He helped us to double check everything so we knew exactly what to expect for our dance and the dance with my dad. I gave him an extensive list of our favorite songs; I was worried the mix would be too eclectic and that he would have to change it up to work with the crowd, but he made everything seamless. My now-husband was so excited to hear some of "his songs" during the reception merriment and that made me so happy. Even though I worried that no one at our small event would dance, guests of all ages were on the dance floor having a great time all night long.

Jimmy was the DJ for our destination wedding and did a fantastic job of keeping guests dancing the entire night. Joanna provided the videography and from the short clip I've seen, it looks great! Both were extremely professional and very responsive to my emails and quesions throughout the planning process. We were extremely pleased with their services and would recommend them for a wedding!!

Soundwaves DJ Sean was great!! He was a very nice person who ran things smoothly and kept the party going! We had a list of songs we wanted along with specific things we did not want and he stuck with our directions perfectly! He was not intrusive at all, took requests from guests at the reception along with those watching it on the Hogsbreath website! What a fantastic wedding reception!! Thanks for being great!

Overall my experience with Soundwaves was a good one! They were well organized in getting the song list from me, and even reduced the fee to meet a competiors rate. I felt like the reception went really good! The music lined up with what we liked, and no one was afraid to hit the dance floor! Jimmy is a good MC for sure. My ONLY real gripe... is that I felt the speeches were a bit rushed, like first speaker, ok next speaker, and we ended up having two speakers NOT speak. Of course in the haste of the day I missed that they didn't talk, and that was a little dissapointing. However, I think that is something that kind of gets lost in the excitement of the day. I also was a little dissapointed that he didn't ask myself (bride) or my Husband if we had a few words to say. So, my only forewarning, is make sure to communicate to them the order of your speaches, and who EXACTLY you want to have their time to say a few words. Overall though, great DJ, great taste in music, and we ALL had a GREAT time! -Amy Hart

The music was great! All of our guest commented on the great flow from ceremony to cocktails to dinner to dancing... We were very pleased with Sound Wave!

DJ Jimmy was awesome! It was almost like he was inside my head the entire night! DH and I weren't too big on the first dances so Jimmy kept his eyes on us and all I had to do was give him "the look" and he faded out each song and into the next. I was thrilled to have Jimmy help us create memories on this special day!

STAY AWAY!!! That is, if you think you want to have something to say about the music played at your wedding. We asked Sound Wave to play island music during the cocktail hour. They played...whatever they pleased (common, commercial music you can hear whenever you turn on a radio). The excuse: it had rained during the ceremony and the cocktail hour was reduced to 60 minutes from 90 (maybe you buy this, I didn't - what did it have to do with the music selection they played?) The reception was ok (in the sense that our playlist was taken into account), but the DJ played only dinner music for the longest time, with no dancing. The joke among our guests was "we are in Key West, music travels slow down here." Imagine how happy I was to hear this on my wedding night. I had to go to the DJ 3 times myself to ask him to play some dance music. He smiled and continued to play the slow stuff. When I went to him the third time, he asked me what song I wanted him to play - you may think it's nice, but the reason you give him a big list of songs before your actual wedding is that you do not want to (or should) think about what he should play in the middle of your wedding reception. In all fairness, the way the venue organized the dinner is also to blame, but a DJ should know a dead party when he sees one... Some of our guests left by the time dance music kicked in, and I was afraid to sit down or talk to other people, fearing that he would go back to the slow stuff again. Awful, devastating experience.

Sound Wave Productions and DJ Jimmy Cooper were truly professional and friendly. He played our requests for the ceremony and a great mix of songs throughout the reception and had everyone dancing on the floor. He was very easy to work with and I highly recommended Sound Wave Productions. Thank you for making our wedding such a fun day!

Jimmy with Sound Wave DJ'd my event and he really was FANTASTIC! The music was awesome and he had great song selection. He came recommended by someone else and I am glad we decided to use him for our event. He was on the more expensive side but I think he was definitely worth it. He was very nice and professional as well, and thats the type of person you want around you on your wedding day!

We had such a great experience with Jimmy and Sound Wave from the beginning of our DJ search. He came highly recommended by the resort we held our wedding at and now we know why! Jimmy was extremely responsive from beginning to end. He provided just what we wanted for our wedding, music wise. We gave him a pretty specific list of songs that we liked and wanted to hear. He played these songs and also added some great songs that he knew we would like. Thank You Jimmy for starting the party at our wedding!!

Great DJ! I had to do nothing the whole night because the DJ played all the right music from the ceremony to the end of the reception, the dance floor was never empty all night and everyone had a great time! I was overplanning every detail and never ended up submitting a list of songs (except for our "spotlight dance" songs) and I should've never even worried about it, they had it covered!

Jim Cooper (Top Jimmy) did an awesome job at getting everyone out on the dance floor and keeping them out there for our entire wedding. He didn't talk through the wedding as I've seen some DJs do; he just kept the party going. Jim played a mix of music and included our requests that we sent him prior to the wedding. The music set the mood and made our wedding such a fun party! Jim was also great at helping us identify a Steel Drummer for our wedding ceremony and cocktail reception and he provided all of the sound equipment for the ceremony (a microphone for our readers, lavaliere for our Reverend and speakers).

I chose Sound Wave Productions based on their website and recomendation of the Westin Key West Resort where we had the event. Jimmy put me in touch with Kevin "Spyder" Wright. I couldn't have been happier with a DJ! Spyder was so much fun and kept us dancing all night long. He also handled music for the ceremony. My fiance and I were never very traditional, so we wanted tropical music played even for the wedding march. Spyder had a great calypso wedding march that fit perfectly. From the Beach Boys and Kenny Chesney to PCD and Kottonmouth Kings - he has it all! Even if he doesn't have it, he will download it on the spot for you. Per our guests, "This is the only wedding that everyone stayed and danced until they kicked us out!" It's all courtesy of Spyder! We can't thank him enough!

I was extremely impressed with the services of Sound Wave Productions. I had a wedding coordinator who recommended this company for my reception. I gave general information about what types of music I wanted during the different times of the night (i.e. tropical music for cocktail hour, softer music for dinner, etc.) as opoosed to giving a specific playlist. The DJ did an amazing job at mixing the music. Though I did not communicate with the company directly, I thought the DJ was very friendly and professional, and the cost very reasonable.
