APOC by Elena provided the cake for our daughter's recent wedding at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. We chose the mable/Godiva cake. The cake was very moist and delicious. We also ordered a chocolate/raspberry cake for the groom. We continue to get emails from some of our guests advising how much they loved the cake. It was a little busy when we went for our tasting, and the person with an appointment before us was late, which pushed our appointment back. But all in all, both Efron and Elena were great to work with and I would definitely recommend them.

I highly recommend A Piece of Cake by Elena. We compared prices of other wedding cake vendors and APOC was the best. Our cake was delicious and everyone at our wedding raved about the cake. The cake was delivered as promised and on time. We made a sketch of my dream wedding cake and Elena delivered just what we imagined. Now, my husband and I drop by the shop to get cupcakes...so good!

Elena was very helpful and willing to work with me on creating the perfect cake for our special day. She was also very thorough with details and willing to do just about anything I could dream up. She was a little pricey for as simple as we went, but it was worth it!

Love love loved them! They made me the most beautiful fall-themed cake with unbelievable looking leaves (sugar) and branches up the sides. It was a real work of art, exactly how I wanted it, and absolutely delish. Everyone said that the cake was better than all the desserts at the Viennese table. They negotiated a great price for us, and were very easy to talk to and work with. Our cake was chocolate almond, which was outstanding, and I also tried vanilla almond which is heavenly as well. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Piece of Cake by Elena was on our preferred vendor list for our wedding venue. Planning my wedding in Boca from NC made it hard to scout out all of the vendors so we relied on reviews, etc. and chose POC. My tasting appointment didn\'t start well. The manager of the Wellington shop was over an hour late opening the shop at noon (my appt time)due to \"traffic\" and I had to call another location just to find out what the situation was. The actual tasting went well, he was very accommodating of my bridal party meeting me there and helped me choose the simple cake that I wanted. I had to pay $1/guest extra for the filling I chose, but the flavor in the marble cake was so delicious and moist I didn\'t mind. I had never seen fudge marbled through cake like that, so we were all sold. \r\n\r\nThe week before my wedding I called to confirm all of the details: marble cake with Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur with chocolate fudge filling, simple dot piping. It\'s one of their most popular cakes, so pretty standard. It took multiple phone calls over 2 days for someone to confirm my cake was all set and would be there on time. It was there in time, but when my husband and I cut into the cake I realized it was not the marble cake I had ordered, just the liqueur cake with fudge filling. You really don\'t want to have any more surprises on your wedding day, even small ones like this can be disappointing. I\'m not sure how a mistake like this is made once an ordered is confirmed, but I feel that this business needs to get better organized. \r\n

The cake was delicious. I ordered two cakes. A simple round tiered wedding cake that was red velvet with buttercream icing (no cream cheese icing on the outside because it is a little yellow). I was happy they said they could do this. Another wedding cake vendor said it would melt and I should go with fondant-which I was insistent i didn't want. The cake didn't melt and looked gorgeous!I also ordered a groom's cake, which was a building from my husband's college campus. It looked absolutely fabulous. This cake shop has wonderful artists and great tasting cakes. What more could you ask for?The only small inconvenience was that the delivery driver had a little trouble finding the reception site. It was dealt with quickly and the cake made it there in plenty of time, so it became a non-issue.

I went to the Miami Lakes location and had gotten wonderful service with my cake tasting. I sampled a variety of cakes and can honestly say that it was extremely difficult deciding on a flavor. We ordered the wedding cake and the grooms cake through them and both were exactly how we imagined them to be. I would definately recommend them to my friends and family.

The actual tasting went wel and I decided after meeting with Ellena not to seek out any other Cake chef/designer. I was overly confident that they would give me what I wanted. I ordered a 3 tier cake and mini cupcakes. I brought the colours of my bridesmadids dresses in for a colour match on the icing ... again very excited. I picked out and paid add'l money for the cloud sugar orchids that I saw on one of their displays. I was certain my cake would be a hit, an eyeful , amazing ... how disappointed I was after much money spent that my cake looked like it was iced for a child and not the rich colours of my BM dresses we had discussed and the sugar orchids I paid for were the wrong ones. My mini cupcakes I ordered for my guest were a big disappointment. Some of my guest are now telling me how dry and almost hard the mini supcakes were. The last of the 3rd tier was horribly dry inside. I will say that the Godiva & Rum Butter turned out to be just as I had remembered, absolutely delicious. The extra design of icing pearls placed around my cake made me cry when I saw it. The entire display was so not me or my husband!!! I was devestated. I ordered cupcakes from their store front practically once or twice every 2 weeks leading up to my wedding. They were a hit. I'd buy them for visiting family and friends and even the staff at my office. The sad part is that when my cousin went in to tell them they found that there was nothing wrong with the presentation of the cake and they gave me what I ordered.

I just got off the phone with a gentleman at A PIECE OF CAKE by Elena who was very rude. In my attempt to order several cupcakes for a small office party I wanted to clarify store closing and of course the stores ability to provide all of the flavors that were requested. After he told me that tthey did not have several of the flavors i asked for i told him i would have to call him back because i needed to consult with my team on choosing other flavours , I also inquired about ordering a cake instead and he told me as long as i called before the store closed at 6 pm. I called back almost 10 minutes later to order a cake and when he reiterated RUDELY that they closed at 6pm on Thursdays I tried to let him know that I was a regular customer thinking he would calm his voice down and at least try to be nice . He however tried to rush me off the phone. HOW RUDE and not very customer friendly. What ever happened to customer service in PSL????? The team at my agency were very turned off as we all listened to him on speaker phone. We placed our order with Sugar Chef Cupcakes in City Place, WPB instead.

i had high hopes after my initial taste tasting. As any excited bride i did not mind the expense as long as i received everything that was promised. However, i was in for a rude awaking. Two days before my wedding, with the stress the that any bride would have, i was treated very rudely when i had to cahnge the delivery date. I was also informed that i needed to rent a cake stand and the charge was not included in my initial contract. If i ahd called i would have had a cake with no stand on my wedding day. To make matters worse, the cake arrived the wrong color and dry. I t did not taste at all like the cake in the cake tasting. My mother in law took the cake the next day and had them taste test without telling them it was theirs. They did not reconize it as theirs. I was never issued an apology or a partial refund, for the mistakes. Instead the owner was very rude and arguementative.if you are looing for the perfect fairy tale wedding avoid this place like a plague

My cake was absolutely stunning. It was better than we imagined. I got a marble cake with the Godiva liqour and buttercream frosting. Elena is the one to meet with, she was very patient and drew out a sketch of the cake we wanted. This vendor is also very busy so book far in advance.

This company makes the best cakes. They are absolutely beautiful and unlike most wedding cakes they taste so good. The staff there is wonderful and everyone loved my cake. There is pretty much no limits with this company as to what they can do for a wedding cake. I would highly recommend this company to any bride as you will have no worries about your cake after you order it.

When I booked my wedding, our package included our cake. So we were advised to go to APOC. At the time my fiance and I made an appointment to go there and taste the cake flavor options we had as well as discuss the design of the cake. First of all, they do not even give you all the options, just two so it makes it hard to make a decision. Secondly, Elena was not there so we dealt with her husband. He didn't even sit down with us to discuss what we wanted or sketch out anything. He just put a book in our face and knowing we were a "package" cake just told us what was included and to let him know what we wanted. I had questions that he wouldn't answer and was annoyed that we had made an appointment and got no service. Instead he catered to the walkins. I actually got pretty upset in the shop. This would have been a perfect opportunity to upsell us since the bulk of the cake cost was being taken care of. I wouldn't have minded paying for some additional embellishment, which we did, but just felt like they didn't care about us since they were going to get paid for it anyway by the hotel. So, we made a decision about what we wanted and thinking about later, wasn't that happy so I made a 2nd appointment to meet with Elena. I explained that I wanted some additional embellishment but wasn't sure what we could do. She was a little difficult as well at first but then finally pulled out a piece of paper to sketch it out. Once she did that I was so happy and we finally decided on a design which was fantastic. Months later when I went back to the shop to drop off my fabric swatch for them to match the color, she never attached the sketch to my order so I had to redraw everything myself and when we got the cake on the day, they never even recorded the change in my cake flavor I had requested. It ended up looking beautiful and tasted fine but the process was difficult and frustrating. I do not believe I would order from them again.

As a former wedding cake artist, I have to say I was truly disappointed in the service provided by this company. I was referred to them by the host of where my reception was held. Upon our interview, I was very specific as to what I wanted for a wedding cake, even brought a picture in. Long story short, I ordered a Feather cake. The feathers were all supposed to be made out of Fondant icing, I was reassured x100 how they were to be made with Fondant. Well, they weren't! I paid a lot of money for a cake that was made from buttercream icing and sugar. I was not happy. I have left messages with Elena and Effron and yet have received a return phone call. Not very good PR if you ask me. And the icing on the cake...(no punt intended), was that the cake was dry and did not even taste good.
